So it is comfortable and safe on long trips. This is also ensured by the padded harness, the 8-way adjustable headrest and the linear side impact protection. Another highlight is the XXL canopy with UV protection 50+, which is also adjustable.

Tested safety: the Aton 5 infant carrier was voted the test winner for car seats up to 13 kg by ADAC and Stiftung Warentest with a score of GOOD (1.6 ) (test magazine, issue 6/2017). The combinations with Aton Base 2 and Aton Base 2-fix also received the rating GOOD (1.7 and 1.9).

Safety and comfort

The Cybex Aton 5 infant carrier features an energy-absorbing shell and L.S.P. linear side impact protection. The side protector can be folded out, reliably absorbs even the first impulse of accident energy and evenly dissipates it. The padded, extra wide 3-point harness (Y-belt) can be perfectly adjusted to the size of your baby via the central length adjustment and the integrated belt guides with a flick of the wrist. The headrest also grows with your baby. It is 8-fold adjustable.

A real highlight: Thanks to the removable seat insert, you can adjust the reclining angle individually so that your little one can relax comfortably in the resting position. With the seat insert you can even adjust the height of the pelvis individually. This reduces the risk of a dangerous forward tilt of the head.

Many fastening options

You have three ways to secure the Aton 5 infant carrier in the car: with the vehicle's own 3-point harness, with the Cybex Aton Base 2-fix Isofix base (available as an accessory), and with the Cybex Aton Base 2 harness base (available as an accessory).

The base systems make it super easy to install the infant carrier. With a click, the shell is attached to the base and released again with a flick of the wrist. The latching arms of the base are fixed to the Isofix brackets of the rear seat. The harness base is attached to the seat with the vehicle's seat belt, making it suitable for cars without Isofix mounts.

Store'n Drive system

You can attach the Aton-5 baby car seat to stroller and buggy frames using the adapter, which is available separately. This way, you don't have to wake up your sleeping baby after the car ride. Out of the car, clicked onto the chassis and off you go shopping.

The removable covers can be machine washed at 30°C. The outer shell can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The outer shell is quickly clean again with a damp cloth.
