Elanee silver nursing pads have an antibacterial effect on sore nipples and an odor-inhibiting effect on milk leaks. When breastfeeding, nipples can become sore and cracked. Bacteria can grow in the small cracks in the warm, moist climate. Often this is the Staphylococcus aureus. Due to the colonization of the skin with bacteria, itching occurs. In the worst case, the bacteria can inflame the breast, resulting in mastitis (inflammation of the breast). Breastfeeding then becomes impossible. In addition, especially in warm temperatures, the breast may develop an odor when milk is discharged. This odor is also caused by bacteria.

The silver nursing pads feel pleasantly cool on the skin and have a skin-climatizing effect. They consist of a layer of knitted silver fabric and a layer of wool. The wool serves to absorb liquids and protects clothing from moisture. The silver knit is made of natural lyocell yarn (cellulose fiber) Tencel C and silver yarn. The processed silver yarn is a polyamide yarn, which is completely coated with 99% silver. Due to the two-layer knitting method, the silver yarn is completely on the inside of the nursing pad, ensuring full and permanent contact of the skin with the silver.

Care: Soak in lukewarm water with a little wool detergent, rinse well; squeeze in a towel; pull into shape and then dry lying down. A little vinegar in the rinse water prevents matting. A certain inherent odor of the wool is normal.
