The baby car seat i-Gemm - Ember from Joie ensures a safe and comfortable car ride and allows rear-facing driving up to a height of 85 cm. Your baby lies comfortably on the soft seat cushion and is held by a 5-point harness. Thanks to the practical rocking function, you can gently rock your little one to sleep.

Tested safety: Stiftung Warentest (test magazine, issue 6/2016) rated the i-Gemm baby car seat as Good (1.7). In combination with the Isofix base for i-Gemm, Gemm and i-Anchor or with the Isofix base for i-Gemm, Gemm, the baby car seat also scored Good (1.8).

Comfort and safety

Your little one lies comfortably and safely in the i-Gemm baby car seat. The integrated side impact protection protects it reliably and absorbs the impact energy in the event of an accident. The headrest consists of three layers that form an ideal crumple zone and thus also ensure optimum safety.

From birth, the padded seat reducer is suitable, which brings your baby in an optimal position and supports the head and neck. Your child is held securely by the padded 5-point harness of the infant carrier. This can be adjusted together with the headrest in height. Thanks to the central height adjustment, the baby car seat adapts to your offspring. And with the help of the practical rocking function, you can gently move it back and forth when your little one is restless or tired.

The ergonomic carrying handle allows you to lift the infant carrier and transport it easily. The removable sun canopy provides your baby with pleasant shade on the go. It is particularly large and equipped with an extra sun visor, which you can fold out if necessary. Thanks to the practical zipper you can also extend the hood. In the rear part is a small window, through which you always have your child in view.

Attachment in the car

The baby car seat can be easily attached with the help of the vehicle's own 3-point harness. To do this, you position it on the car seat against the direction of travel. For even more safety, you can attach the infant carrier with an Isofix base, which is available separately in the store. The base for i-Gemm and Gemm or the i-AnchorFix base are suitable for this. These are both equipped with a support foot, which provides additional support. In combination with the matching base, the infant carrier complies with the new EU safety regulation I-Size.

Store' n-Drive system

You can also use the i-Gemm baby shell as a practical Shop'n-Drive system. On the Joie buggies Mirus, Brisk LX and Evalite Duo, it is attached via the protective bar. With the Litetrax 4 and Litetrax 4 Air models, you have the choice and can attach the shell either with the protective bar or using separately available adapters. If you want to use i Gemm in combination with your Mytrax or Litetrax 4 E strollers, you will also need the separately available adapter. For the Joie Chrome DLX stroller, the adapters are included with the stroller.
