With the peaked cap with neck protection UPF 80 size 50/51 - Offwhite from LaLoona, your child is well protected in the sun. The particularly high UV protection repels UV rays and protects your baby's sensitive face and scalp. Thanks to the visor and extra-long neck protection, not only your little one's face and eyes are protected, but also their ears and neck.
The summer peaked hat deliberately does not have any straps to protect your child from the risk of strangulation. Instead, the hat is equipped with an elasticated band at the back of the head, which guarantees an optimal and flexible fit. This prevents the hat from slipping off the head, without any annoying straps under the chin.
The recycled polyester material is pleasantly soft and quick-drying. The mesh insert on the head ensures that your baby doesn't sweat too much under the hat. If it gets dirty, the peaked cap can be easily machine washed and is quickly ready for use again.

The declared protection against natural UV radiation is limited in time. In case of signs of damage or wear, the full protective effect may no longer be given and the garment should be replaced.
Only the body areas covered by the garment are protected against natural UV radiation. All other skin areas must be protected with additional sun protection products (e.g. sunscreen and further UV protective clothing).

This product meets the basic health and safety requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 (Personal Protective Equipment) and DIN EN ISO 13688:2022-04 (EN ISO 13688:2013 + A1:2021) – Protective Clothing – General Requirements and the Hohenstein Test Principle 2018/1, RevSta3 - SOP-QM 16.72.03.019 – Protection against natural UV radiation. The determination of the "Ultraviolet Protection Factor" (UPF) was carried out according to UV Standard 801:2022.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: UV radiation can cause sunburn and skin damage. To ensure the protective function, the care instructions on the label should be followed. After contact with chlorinated or salt water, the garment should be washed out. The garment should be stored in a dry, clean and dark place when not in use to maintain the protective properties. The durability of the protective clothing is 6 years from production without visible signs of damage or wear. The actual protection duration depends on the respective skin type and the intensity of sunlight.
Please observe the following guideline for selecting UV protective clothing to ensure the best possible protection:
• UPF 15-24: Low protection – suitable for pre-tanned, brown and olive skin (e.g. Mediterranean skin types)
• UPF 25-39: Medium protection – suitable for fair to lightly toned skin (e.g. light to dark European skin types)
• UPF 40-50+: High protection – suitable for very sensitive, very fair skin types (e.g. children and seniors)
The garment has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) of 80. This means it increases the skin’s self-protection time by 80 times or blocks 99.1% of UV radiation. Nevertheless, intense and prolonged sun exposure should be avoided.
