WARNING AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS The 2in1 Electric Double Breast Pump from Lansinoh® is a personal hygiene item and should therefore not be shared with other mothers or resold. The warranty will expire in the event of transfer. If you as a mother are infected with Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C or HIV, pumping with the 2in1 Electric Double Breast Pump from Lansinoh® does not reduce a possible risk of virus transmission through breast milk to your child.
To avoid fatal electric shocks: Always unplug the power supply from the socket after use. Do not use the device in the bathtub 16. Do not place the pump where it can fall into the bathtub or a sink. Do not immerse the pump in water or any other liquid. Never reach for an electrical device that has fallen into water. Instead, immediately disconnect the power supply from the socket.
To avoid electric shocks, burns, fire or injuries: This product should not be left unattended while plugged in. Children or people with disabilities must be strictly supervised when near the product during use. Use this product only for the purpose described in this user manual. Do not use accessories not recommended by the manufacturer. Do not operate the pump if cables or plugs are damaged, if the pump is not functioning properly, if it has fallen to the floor or into water, or has been damaged. Keep the cable away from heated surfaces. Do not use the device when you are sleeping or tired. Do not drop or insert objects into any opening or tubing. Do not use this product if it is defective or missing parts. Never allow infants or pets to play with the pump, power adapter, etc. Do not use the device on mains power outdoors, where spray cans are used, or oxygen is administered.
Before each use: Wash your hands thoroughly with water and soap before touching the pump set, pump body and accessories. Completely disassemble the pump set for cleaning. Set the tubes aside; they must not be cleaned or sterilised 17. Do not use the device if you detect liquid or moisture in the tubes. Allow to dry thoroughly first.
WARNING: Handle the small white valve carefully during cleaning. It is essential for the pump’s suction performance. Do not apply excessive force and do not clean it with a bottle or nipple brush. Wash it by hand in warm soapy water and then rinse thoroughly with warm running water.
Note: NEVER store breast milk in the freezer door. The door is usually the warmest area of the freezer.
NOTE: NEVER refreeze breast milk after it has been thawed.
NOTE: NEVER WARM BREAST MILK IN THE MICROWAVE! The composition of the milk changes in the microwave. Milk may heat unevenly in the microwave, creating a risk of scalding.
NOTE: NEVER thaw breast milk in hot or boiling water.
Precautions: Store the product in a dry, protected place when not in use. Use the product only under adult supervision. Avoid cleaning, storing or exposing the product to solvents or aggressive chemicals as this may cause damage. Never expose the product to direct sunlight or heat and do not soak it in disinfectant ("sterilisation solution") longer than recommended. Do not warm liquids by placing the bottle directly on a gas stove, ceramic hob, hot plate or in the oven.
WARNING! For your child’s safety: Use the product only under adult supervision. Never use feeding nipples as pacifiers. Prolonged or continuous sucking of liquid can cause tooth decay. Always check the temperature of the contents before giving the bottle. Keep unused parts out of reach of children. Never leave your baby alone with a feeding bottle, as there is a choking hazard; the child could fall or the product could come apart.
WARNING: Tooth decay can occur in young children even from unsweetened drinks if nipples, spouts or straw cups are used as substitutes for pacifiers for extended periods during the day and especially at night – when saliva flow is reduced. Never expose the nipple to direct sunlight or heat and do not soak it in disinfectant ("sterilisation solution") longer than recommended. This could cause damage to the nipple. Check the product before each use. Dispose of at the first sign of material damage or weakness. For hygiene and safety reasons, we recommend changing the nipple every seven weeks. Pull the nipple in all directions to check it.
CAUTION: Some liquids may cause the silicone to become milky and opaque. Its properties are not affected. Use particular caution when warming in the microwave. Always stir warmed food well to distribute heat evenly and check the temperature before feeding. Do not heat breast milk in the microwave as this changes the composition of the milk. Uneven heating may occur when warming food in the microwave.
WARNING: Packaging materials are not part of the product. For your child’s safety, remove all packaging parts before use and read the instructions carefully and keep them safely. Only warm opened packaging in the microwave. Serious adverse events related to this product must be reported immediately to Lansinoh Laboratories and the local competent authority. The 2in1 Electric Double Breast Pump from Lansinoh® is a medical device and must therefore be disposed of in accordance with the applicable local regulations and laws for medical devices.
WARNING: Portable RF communication equipment (including accessories such as antenna cables and external antennas) must not be used closer than 30 cm to any part of the breast pump, including cables specified by the manufacturer. Otherwise, product performance may degrade. Use of cables and accessories not provided by Lansinoh may adversely affect EMC.
