AxissFix is one of the first child car seats to comply with the EU regulation i-Size R129, which has been in effect since July 2013.
i-Size aims to improve the safety of children in vehicles and provides for the use of UNIVERSAL ISOFIX child seats, the rearward-facing transport of children up to an age of 15 months, as well as optimisation of head and neck protection.

Position of your car seat: rearward (class size D) and forward-facing (class size B1)
The child seat should be used rearward-facing for children up to an age of 15 months to guarantee the optimal safety of the child. Maxi-Cosi recommends rearward-facing use of the child seat for as long as possible and up to the specified height (87 cm). This allows improved protection of the head and neck area of the child, which is still extremely sensitive at this age. You can use the AxissFix child car seat forward-facing when your child is older than 15 months and between 76 and 105 cm tall.
The AxissFix child car seat may only be used in cars.
• The AxissFix has been designed for intensive use over a period of about 10 years.
• Make sure that you can only fit a maximum of one finger between the harness and your child (1 cm). If there is more than 1 cm of space, the harness tensioner must still be tightened.
• Check that the headrest is at the correct height.
WARNING:• When installing the child car seat, the TOP TETHER strap may be rotated by a quarter turn depending on the position of the anchorage hook. This does not affect the function of the product.
• When installing the child car seat, it is necessary to remove the vehicle headrest to properly attach the TOP TETHER.
• Note that the base of the child car seat may not lie flat on the vehicle seat bench during installation; this depends entirely on the position of the vehicle’s anchorage arms.
