Safe travel in a child car seat from birth to 12 years
In the Emerald S i-Size child car seat from Maxi-Cosi, your child can travel safely in the car from birth until they are around 12 years old (40 - 150 cm). From 15 months, you can also install the child seat in the direction of travel. It complies with the latest European safety standard i-Size, so it offers improved safety performance and allows rear-facing travel up to the age of 4 years, a driving position that is recommended as safer for children.The child seat features G-CELL side impact protection, which is designed to redirect the forces of an impact away from your child to reduce injuries, particularly to the head, neck and shoulder area.
Your little one is secured with a padded 5-point belt system up to approx. 4 years (22 kg body weight) and then with the car's 3-point belt up to 36 kg body weight. The child seat can be attached to the enclosed Isofix base with just one click, and the adjustable support foot gives the seat even more stability.
Particularly practical: the child seat has a 360° rotation option so that you can rotate it completely. This is easy on your back, makes it easier to put your little one in, buckle them in and lift them out, and it can be rotated into the correct driving position in a matter of seconds.
Comfortable on the road
The belt system and headrest height can be easily adjusted to the size of your child and always adapt perfectly. For a restful nap on the go, you can recline the Emerald to a comfortable lying position in 4 positions - both rearward and forward-facing. For cleaning, you can easily remove the car seat cover made from 100% recycled materials and wash it in the machine.

The Emerald 360 S may only be used in cars.
• The Emerald 360 S is designed for intensive use over a period of about 12 years.
• Do not use any load-bearing contact points other than those described in the instructions and marked on the child car seat.
The vehicle seat Emerald 360 S in the vehicle:
• The vehicle seat can be rotated 360° so that you can easily place your child in the car and take them out. This also allows switching between rearward-facing and forward-facing use of the seat.
• Before purchase, ensure that the child seat is suitable for the vehicle in which it will be used.
• The child car seat must be used rearward-facing for children up to 15 months of age (up to 75 cm) to guarantee the child's optimal safety.
Maxi-Cosi recommends rearward-facing use of the seat up to a body height of 105 cm (approximately up to 4 years of age). This allows better protection of the child's head and neck area, which is still extremely sensitive at this age.
• The child car seat must be installed with ISOFIX and support leg when your child is between 40 cm and 105 cm tall (max. 18 kg).
• The support leg must always be fully extended and locked in its foremost position when in use.
• The car seat must be used with the 5-point harness when your child is 40 cm to 105 cm tall and weighs a maximum of 18 kg.
• You can install the child car seat in a forward-facing position with the 5-point harness when your child is between 76 cm and 105 cm tall and older than 15 months.
• You can install the child car seat only with the vehicle seat belt or with the vehicle seat belt and ISOFIX connectors when your child is between 100 and 150 cm tall (max. 36 kg).
• The support leg must be folded and locked under the child car seat when your child uses the vehicle seat belt.
• If the child restraint system is to be installed in the rearmost position, it may not fit all approved vehicle types. Ensure that the seat fits in all possible positions (seat recline and
headrest adjustment) in your vehicle.
WARNING:• It is MANDATORY to install the support leg when your child is between 40 cm and 105 cm tall.
• The ISOFIX anchors allow the child safety system to be easily and securely attached in the vehicle. Not all vehicles are equipped with the anchors, but they are standard equipment in newer models.
• Depending on the location of the anchorage points in the vehicle, gaps between the child car seat and the vehicle seat may occur when installing the child car seat.
• Use the child car seat only on a forward-facing seat with a self-tightening three-point safety belt,
approved according to ECE R16 or a comparable standard. Do NOT use a two-point belt.
Your child in the Emerald 360 S child car seat
• The insert pad belonging to your Emerald 360 S is an integral part of the child car seat for use from 40 - 75 cm body height. For washing, the pad can be removed and the cover taken off, but ensure that only this official Maxi-Cosi Emerald 360 S insert is used. The newborn insert is exclusively intended for use with the Emerald 360 S seat.
• Always ensure that the insert is removed when your child is taller than 75 cm.
• Make sure that no more than one finger fits between the harness and the child (1 cm). If the gap is larger than 1 cm, tighten the harness.
• Make sure that the headrest is adjusted to the correct height.
WARNING: • It is prohibited to adjust the seat position while driving.
• It is MANDATORY to recline the child car seat when your child is travelling rearward-facing.
• It is prohibited to recline the child seat when your child uses the vehicle seat belt.
• During travel, the child car seat must always be locked in the forward- or rearward-facing position. DO NOT start driving if the child car seat is in the sideways position (for placing the child) or any other unlocked position.
• If you use the child car seat rearward-facing on the front seat, you must deactivate the passenger seat airbag. We advise you to move the vehicle seat as far back as possible (Please consult the vehicle manual).
