The digital video baby monitor SCD882/26 from Philips AVENT has a 2.8 inch LCD color screen so you can always keep an eye on your baby. With the intercom function and 4 soothing melodies, you can quickly calm your little one. The range is up to 50 meters indoors and up to 300 meters outdoors. Thanks to ECO mode, the baby monitor can also be used in a particularly energy-saving way - but you can still see the connection strength to the baby unit on a display. The baby monitor has 4 different modes: transmission with picture, sound transmission only, activation for noises in the nursery and power-saving mode.

Transmission & connection mode

The high-resolution color screen with 7.1 cm screen diagonal transmits crystal-clear images, regardless of the light conditions in the nursery. The infrared night vision function switches on automatically in the dark. The high quality of the sound transmission ensures that you can not only see your baby perfectly, but also hear them crystal clear. Thanks to customizable FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) technology, the connection is always secure and private.

There are 4 different operating modes available for the baby monitor. In video mode, there is continuous image and sound transmission and you can see your baby on the LCD display at all times. If you only want to hear your baby, simply switch to audio mode and the screen switches off. In VOX mode, the display and sound switch off if no sounds are heard for 20 seconds. However, the connection remains active and as soon as sounds are heard again, the transmission switches back on immediately. Even in energy-saving ECO mode, image and sound transmission are switched off when it is quiet in the child's room. In addition, there is no permanent wireless connection between the baby and parent unit. This is only re-established when the device detects noises. However, you can see from the green connection indicator that the parent unit is still connected to the baby unit.

If you do not want every little sound from the nursery to be transmitted, you can adjust the sensitivity of the baby monitor. If the sensitivity level is set very high in video and audio mode, the sound is transmitted continuously. At a lower sensitivity level, quiet noises are muted.

Convenience & user-friendliness

The green LED indicators on the device show you whether the connection between the baby and parent unit is stable, the battery is sufficiently charged, the baby monitor is in ECO mode and whether the intercom function is active. Various symbols on the display inform you about the connection strength, the current operating mode, the selected lullaby and the battery status.

The volume and brightness of the display can be adjusted on the parent unit. In a noisy environment, you can also switch on the vibration alarm. With the belt clip, you can easily attach the receiver to your waistband or belt. The display is now upside down so that you can still see your baby at a glance. This means you can move freely around the house and have both hands free. If you are out of range with the parent unit or the battery is running low, the LEDs light up red and the receiver beeps. With a full battery, you can use the parent unit for approx. 10 hours without a cable.

Extras for your baby

The lullaby function can be operated directly on the baby unit or on the parent unit. You can choose from 2 soothing lullabies and 2 types of white noise to gently guide your baby to sleep. The selected song is played for approx. 15 minutes and then switches off automatically. You can also have all 4 medlodies played in sequence. You can of course set the volume individually. The intercom function allows you to soothe your baby with your own voice via the baby monitor.

The baby unit can be placed on a stable, flat surface or attached to the wall using the screws provided. The camera can be rotated and tilted so that you always have an optimal view of your baby.
