The safety latch from Reer keeps cabinets and drawers securely closed and protects against trapped fingers. It is mounted inside the cabinet with the enclosed screws and is not visible from the outside. To open, pull the door open a bit and press the latch down. You can do this easily and as quickly as usual. Small children's fingers are not yet able to outsmart the safety latch.
The latch must also be pressed down slightly to close. Otherwise, the recoil protection - a reliable finger pinch protection - takes hold and keeps the drawer or cabinet door open a crack.
