Comfortable & secure in the ALVI Sleeping Bag

A topic that many parents will know: as soon as the baby is tucked in bed, the blanket is already kicked off again. In the worst case, the blanket slips up and ends up on the little baby’s head. With the ALVI Baby-Mäxchen® this cannot happen: in this pear-shaped baby sleeping bag, your little one stays pleasantly warm, has enough freedom of movement, and still feels very secure.

With a 100% recommendation in 2019 in the midwife test by hebammen-testen.de, the ALVI Baby-Mäxchen® convinced 50 midwives all around. It received the grade “VERY GOOD” in all tested areas. In April 2020, the Baby-Mäxchen® was chosen as the test winner in the Germany test for highest customer satisfaction in the sleeping bag category.

A clever system for every season

The ALVI Baby-Mäxchen® consists of three sleeping bags and thus forms a practical system that can be adapted depending on the room temperature. The outer bag with a cute pattern is lightly padded and in a grow-with-you double size. The two inner bags in two consecutive sizes are equipped with long sleeves and snug cuffs for an excellent fit. When the nights get warmer in summer, only the inner bag can also be used.

Both the outer bag and the inner bags are equipped with all-around zippers. This way, you can quickly reach your baby when a nappy change is needed.

We have summarised here which sleeping bag combination is suitable for which room temperature for you:

• under 21 °C: inner bag + outer bag
• 21 - 25 °C: outer bag only (ideal for the transition)
• over 25 °C: inner bag only

The right size for your baby

This sleeping bag system always covers a double size. You can adjust the neck and arm openings of the outer bag individually to your child’s size using the button placket. The inner bags are supplied in 2 different sizes, where you get a smaller and a larger inner bag.

To determine the right size of the sleeping bag for your baby, the following rule of thumb applies: body length – head length + 10 cm = ideal size.
If your baby is between 2 sizes, the rule is always: outgrow, not grow into. In this case, choose the smaller size, as the neck opening could otherwise be too large.

Highest quality & comfortable material

The pleasant cotton material has a very long service life. The functions of the individual fabrics also remain intact for a long time and offer ideal heat regulation for your little one. The soft, cosy quality is especially gentle and protects delicate baby skin. Additional darts under the arm on the outer bag provide more stability and durability.

The safety closure of the outer bag is equipped with a stopper. This way, your little one cannot kick free in their sleep. The smallest ones were also considered: a cable outlet opening for monitored babies in hospital is also included. The ALVI Baby-Mäxchen® is rounded off with an Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate. This way, you can be sure that all materials have been tested for harmful substances and the Baby-Mäxchen® can be used completely without concern.
