Due to the soft cotton cover, the mattress is very breathable. At the same time, the cover prevents annoying rustling noises. With cheap travel cot mattresses with polyester covers, your child will wake up more often due to the disturbing noises and sweat more. Of course, you can easily remove the cover and wash it in the machine.
