Medela Electric breastpump Freestyle incl. Calma

The electric double breastpump Freestyle from Medela gives you more freedom of movement and saves time when pumping. Thanks to 2-phase technology and double-sided pumping, more breast milk is pumped out in less time, while the freestyle is discreet, small and light. If you do not have a power source available for mains operation, you can also operate the device with the rechargeable battery supplied.

Double pumping

Freestyle is particularly suitable if you pump frequently, whether at home, at work or on the move. It can be used for one-sided or two-sided pumping. The two-way pumping takes less time and increases milk production at the same time.

2-Phase Expression Technology

The 2-phase technology maintains milk production, shortens the pumping process and makes the switch from breastfeeding to pumping easier for you and your body. This technology mimics your baby's natural sucking rhythm, making pumping feel more natural and milk begins to flow earlier. The initial stimulation phase lasts max. 2 minutes and stimulates the milk flow with short, fast sucking movements. Then the unit automatically switches to the slower pumping mode. If the milk shot starts earlier, you can manually change to the pumping phase.

The motor unit allows you to independently increase or decrease the vacuum during pumping. You can easily save your personal settings on the device and recall them during the next pumping process. The compact and handy device can be conveniently used anywhere by using the mains adapter or rechargeable battery. The battery has a runtime of up to three hours. The large LCD display always shows you the vacuum level, the duration of pumping and the battery status.

Extensive accessories

The included PersonalFit breast caps in size M fit on nipples with a diameter of 24 mm. Since each breast is unique, Medela's breast caps are available in four other sizes, so that each mother can find the right one for her. As with breastfeeding, one size is sufficient for the entire breastfeeding period. The stand prevents the pump bodies from tipping over. With the multi-cap you can securely seal the bottles and then store them in the refrigerator or freezer compartment. The practical set contains a cooling bag with a cooling element for travelling; in which you can cool and transport up to four bottles. The Freestyle can be taken anywhere without any problems thanks to the fastening clip and storage bag.

mother's milk teat Calma

mother's milk is pumped into the pump bodies, which you can then use as baby bottles. The PP bottles have a capacity of 150 ml and have a standard thread on which you can screw the Calma breast milk teat. With Calma, your baby can drink evenly, pause and breathe in its natural rhythm, just like when breastfeeding. So that milk flows during breastfeeding, your child must create a vacuum through a combination of tongue and jaw movements. It must also build up this vacuum at Calma, whereby it retains its natural absorption behaviour. The assembly, use and cleaning of the breastpump and Calma breast milk teat are intuitive and easy. You can screw all Medela suction cups onto the pump bodies and use them as feeding bottles. The Calma breast milk teat fits on any Medela bottle and on standard commercial bottles.

All products that come into contact with breast milk are free of bisphenol-A (BPA-free) and are easy to clean. Thanks to the so-called media separation, a milk overflow protection system; no mother's milk gets into the air tubes; therefore no cleaning or sterilisation of the tubes is necessary. The pump accessories can be cooked hygienically or conveniently cleaned in the upper dish basket or in the cutlery compartment of your dishwasher.
