What’s new about the Salsa 5 Air in the 2025 collection?
The Salsa 5 Air now impresses with many new, practical features. With the innovative Quick-Fold folding mechanism, you can now fold the carrycot even faster from the outside via sliders on the base and store it space-savingly. The sun canopy can also be easily adjusted thanks to the new memory function: you release the canopy holders one after another and adjust it effortlessly. The Salsa 5 Air now features a extra-large sun canopy with UPF 50+ fold-out sun visor, which can be pulled down further than ever before – perfect for generous shade, e.g. at the beach, or as a practical sleeping cover. Cosy carrycot for newborns
The carrycot is equipped with the particularly high-quality, soft and ergonomic CozyCloud mattress and cradles your newborn very comfortably. An extra plus in comfort is the adjustable lying surface, which you can fold up at the rear area of the carrycot. The new organiser is stored in the front area. It offers space for your mobile phone, wallet, and much more. You can also remove the small bag and attach it to the push handle.
The new CozyCloud mattress was specially developed for use in the carrycot for newborns. This way you can be sure that your baby will find a healthy and restful sleep. The mattress ensures an excellent sleeping climate. It features breathable cold foam with vertical air channels. The adapted firmness ensures optimal lying comfort from head to spine. The wedge-shaped head end supports the head slightly elevated and thus promotes a healthy sleeping position. All materials are allergy-friendly and undergo the strictest quality controls.
Your baby is protected by the matching carrycot cover and a large canopy. The canopy is equipped with UV protection 50+. For warm days, there is a ventilation window (made of particularly fine mesh) integrated both in the canopy and at the head end of the carrycot. This keeps the carrycot always pleasantly ventilated and prevents heat build-up.
If the stroller is too bulky for your next restaurant visit, simply remove the carrycot and carry it by hand using the sturdy carrying handle. Particularly comfortable and even safer is the practical memory function: you can unlock the holders one after another, so you always have one hand free to hold the carrying handle. If you have little space for transport in the car, you can simply fold the carrycot.
Onwards with the sports seat
As soon as your child can sit, you attach the sports seat. This is quick and easy. Like the carrycot, the seat can be fitted in both directions. This way you have your little one perfectly in view and they can look into your familiar face. Curious explorers ride facing forward and discover the world. This makes them tired, so the backrest and footrest are adjustable in multiple positions. In a flat lying position, a well-deserved nap can be taken.
Safety is ensured by a padded 5-point harness and a bumper bar. The magnetic HappyBelt® 5-point harness system securely holds your child and grows with them. When your child grows, you simply adjust the harness continuously. Practical: for easy access, you can simply fold up or completely remove the bumper bar. The large canopy with fold-out sun visor protects against wind and weather. Thanks to UV protection 50+, it reliably protects your child’s sensitive skin. Thanks to the mesh fabric viewing and ventilation window, you can keep an eye on your child at all times.
Additionally, the Salsa 5 Air offers some highlights for parents: The push handle is height-adjustable and allows mum and dad to take walks in a comfortable posture. The Salsa is also suitable for very tall parents as it offers enormous legroom between the rear wheels. Even more ease in everyday life is provided by the super spacious shopping basket. Here you can store bulky and heavy items, saving you strength and nerves.
Great driving comfort & small folding size
The Salsa 5 Air rides on large air-filled tyres. Thanks to the high-quality tyres, you can handle the stroller excellently on any surface. On particularly uneven terrain, you lock the front wheel so it does not block and you can move forward quickly. In addition to the soft air tyres, the central suspension also dampens small and large shocks. After the trip, you fold the stroller quickly and easily. For an especially small folding size, you can also remove the wheels. This is super easy at the push of a button. This way you can fit the Salsa into virtually any boot.
Tulip infant car seat included in delivery
In this set, you get the matching Tulip infant car seat (incl. adapter) included. The Tulip infant car seat from ABC Design offers your little one optimal protection during car journeys. It also looks good on ABC Design strollers. The switch from car to stroller chassis is simple and quick. The car seat meets the latest safety standard i-Size (R129) and weighs just 3.95 kg.

Optimal safety is ensured by side impact protection and the 3-point harness system. The growing harness system and headrest can be adjusted to your child’s size. After the car journey, the infant car seat can be attached to all ABC Design strollers with just a few steps. The perfect travel system with very little effort. The adapter required for this is included in this set. The base of the infant car seat is slightly rounded. This allows your little one to gently and comfortably rock to sleep.
You attach the Tulip infant car seat quickly and easily with your car’s 3-point belt. Installation is done as with all infant car seats rear-facing. If you travel often by car, it is advisable to purchase the optional ISOFIX base for the Tulip infant car seat (available separately in our shop). With this, you do not have to buckle the infant car seat every time, but simply place it on the already installed ISOFIX base. This saves you a lot of time and effort. Additionally, it helps greatly to avoid errors during attachment. A practical colour indicator immediately shows you the correct installation.

• Use only the mattress supplied and do not add an additional mattress to the carrycot.
• Regularly check the carrying straps and base for damage.

• Ensure that your child’s head is always positioned higher than the rest of the body.
Infant Carrier
Do not use the child seat on a seat with an active front airbag.
This is a child restraint system of category i-Size.
It is approved under Regulation No. 129 for use on vehicle seats that are designated by the vehicle manufacturer in the vehicle handbook as suitable for i-Size restraint systems.
If in doubt, contact the child restraint system manufacturer or retailer. It is suitable for babies and children from birth up to approx. 15 months (0-13 kg body weight).
• Correct installation is likely if the vehicle manufacturer states in the vehicle handbook that the vehicle is suitable for a “universal” child restraint device for this age group.
• This child restraint device is classified under stricter conditions as “universal” than earlier models that do not carry this indication.
• In case of doubt, please contact the manufacturer or seller of the child restraint system.
• The safety of the child seat is only guaranteed by the manufacturer if it is used by the first purchaser. For this reason, it is not recommended to buy a second-hand seat.
• The child car seat should not be used more than 5 years after the date of purchase. The quality of the seat may be impaired by heavy use.
• Use the child seat only on forward-facing car seats.
• Folding car seats must be firmly locked.
• If the child seat is installed on the front passenger seat, the passenger seat must be pushed as far back as possible.
• The child seat must not be used on car seats with airbag protection. If necessary, deactivate the airbag (ask your car dealer).
• The backrest of the front passenger seat must be set to a fully upright position. An adjustable headrest must be pushed to the lowest position.
• The child seat must not be caught in the car door or folding seats; no heavy objects should be placed on the child seat.
• Never hold your baby on your lap in the car. You cannot hold your baby against the immense forces released in an accident.
• Never place the car belt around both yourself and the child.
• No modifications may be made to the child seat or the belts.
• Ensure that the car seat belt is not damaged and is fully functional.
• All belts intended to secure the restraint system must be tightened. The belts holding the child must be fastened tightly. Ensure these belts are not twisted.
• Never leave your baby in the child seat for too long. Although the child seat offers optimal comfort, your child must regularly lie on their stomach. This supports healthy development.
• To avoid exposing your child to unnecessary heat, the baby seat should not be exposed to direct sunlight when not in use. Parts of the child seat could become hot and burn your child.
• Use the child seat even for short journeys.

• Never leave your child unattended in the child seat or in the car.
• Set a good example and always fasten your seatbelt.
• Teach your child never to play with the buckle.
• Take short breaks during longer journeys so your child can recover from the strain of travel outside the vehicle.

• The child seat is tested and approved according to the European safety standard ECE R129. It is suitable for babies and children from birth up to approx. 15 months (0-13 kg body weight).

• The child seat can be secured with a three-point automatic belt on both the front passenger seat and the rear seats, provided it complies with Regulation ECE R16 or an equivalent standard.

• After an accident (even at low impact speeds over 10 km/h), damage may have occurred to the child car seat that is not necessarily visible. In this case, the child car seat must be replaced. Please dispose of it properly.
• We recommend checking before purchasing the child seat whether it can be properly installed.
• Ensure all luggage and objects that could injure occupants in the event of an accident or hard braking are properly secured.
• Never place the child seat with the child inside on an elevated surface such as a table, work surface, bed or shopping trolley.
