What’s new with the Salsa 5 Air in the 2025 collection?
The Salsa 5 Air now impresses with many new practical features. With the innovative Quick-Fold folding mechanism, you can now fold the carrycot even faster from the outside via sliders on the base and store it space-savingly. The sun canopy is also easy to adjust thanks to the new memory function: you release the canopy holders one after the other and adjust it effortlessly. The Salsa 5 Air now features a extra-large sun canopy with UPF 50+ and fold-out sun visor that can be pulled down further than ever before – perfect for generous shade, e.g. at the beach, or as a practical sleeping canopy. Thanks to the new innovative HappyBelt® 5-point harness system with magnetic closure in the sports seat, which can be adjusted steplessly and offers padded shoulder straps for more comfort, getting in and out is also significantly easier. Cosy carrycot for newborns
The carrycot is equipped with the particularly high-quality, soft and ergonomic CozyCloud mattress and cradles your newborn very comfortably. An extra plus in comfort is the adjustable lying surface, which you can fold upwards at the rear of the carrycot. The new organiser is stored in the front area. It offers space for your phone, a wallet, and much more. You can also remove the small bag and attach it to the pushbar.
The new CozyCloud mattress was specially developed for use in the carrycot for newborns. This way you can be sure that your baby will find a healthy and restful sleep. The mattress ensures an excellent sleeping climate. It features breathable cold foam with vertical air channels. The adapted firmness provides optimal lying comfort from head to spine. The wedge-shaped head end supports the head slightly elevated, promoting a healthy sleeping position. All materials are allergy-friendly and undergo the strictest quality controls.
Your baby is protected by the matching carrycot cover and a large canopy. The canopy has UV protection 50+. For warm days, there is a ventilation window (made of very fine mesh) integrated both in the canopy and at the head end of the carrycot. This ensures the carrycot is always pleasantly ventilated and prevents heat build-up.
If the stroller is too bulky for your next restaurant visit, simply remove the carrycot and carry it by hand using the sturdy carry handle. The practical memory function makes this especially comfortable and even safer: you can unlock the holders one after the other, so you always have one hand free to hold the carry handle. If you have little space for transport in the car, you can simply fold the carrycot.
Onwards with the sports seat
As soon as your child can sit, you attach the sports seat. This is quick and easy. Like the carrycot, the seat can be attached in both directions. This way, you have your little one in view and they can look at your familiar face. Curious explorers ride facing forward and discover the world. This makes them tired, so the backrest and footrest are adjustable in multiple positions. In a flat recline, a well-deserved nap can be taken.
Safety is ensured by a padded 5-point harness and a safety bar. The magnetic HappyBelt® 5-point harness system keeps your child securely fastened and grows with them. As your child grows, you simply adjust the harness steplessly. Practical: for easy access, you can simply fold up or completely remove the safety bar. The large canopy with fold-out sun visor protects against wind and weather. With UV protection 50+, it reliably shields your child’s sensitive skin. Thanks to the mesh fabric viewing and ventilation window, you can always keep an eye on your child.
The Salsa 5 Air also has some highlights for parents: the pushbar is height-adjustable and allows mum and dad to stroll in a comfortable posture. The Salsa is also suitable for very tall parents, as it offers plenty of legroom between the rear wheels. Even more everyday convenience is provided by the super spacious shopping basket. Here you can store bulky and heavy items, saving you strength and nerves.
Great driving comfort & small folded size
The Salsa 5 Air rides on large air-filled wheels. Thanks to the high-quality tyres, you can handle the stroller excellently on any surface. On particularly uneven terrain, you can lock the front wheel so it does not block and you can move forward quickly. In addition to the soft air tyres, the central suspension also cushions small and large bumps. After the outing, you fold the stroller quickly and easily. For an especially small folded size, you can also remove the wheels. This is super easy with the push of a button. This way, you can fit the Salsa into virtually any boot.
Tulip infant car seat included
This set includes the matching Tulip infant car seat (incl. adapter).
The Tulip infant car seat from ABC Design offers your little one optimal protection during car journeys. It also looks great on ABC Design strollers. The switch from car to stroller frame is quick and easy. The car seat complies with the latest safety standard i-Size (R129) and weighs just 3.95 kg.

Optimal safety is ensured by side impact protection and the 3-point harness system. You can adjust the growing harness system and headrest to your child’s size. The integrated seat reducer provides optimal support at all times thanks to removable padding. The sun canopy with UV protection 50+ protects against sun exposure on hot days.
After the car journey, the infant car seat can be attached to all ABC Design strollers in just a few steps. The perfect travel system with very little effort. The required adapter is included in this set. The base of the infant car seat is slightly rounded. This allows your little one to rock gently and comfortably to sleep.
You fasten the Tulip infant car seat quickly and easily with your car’s 3-point belt. Installation is done rear-facing, as with all infant car seats.
If you often travel by car, we recommend purchasing the optional ISOFIX base for the Tulip infant car seat (available separately in our shop). With this, you don’t have to belt the infant car seat every time; you simply place it on the already installed ISOFIX base. This saves you a lot of time and effort. Additionally, it greatly helps to avoid installation errors. A practical colour indicator immediately shows you the correct installation.

Carry Cot

Never use this carry cot on a stand
• Use only on a firm, level, dry surface.
• Do not allow other children to play unattended near the carry cot.
• Do not use the carry cot if parts are broken, torn or missing.
• Do not leave the flexible carrying handles inside the carry cot.
• Use only approved accessories from your manufacturer.
• Keep this product away from fire and other sources of heat.
• Use only the mattress included and do not add any additional mattress to the carry cot.
• Regularly check the carrying straps and base for damage.
• If carrying loops are attached to your carry cot, they must not be inside the stroller attachment during use.
• Ensure that your child’s head is always positioned higher than the rest of the body.
Baby Car Seat
Do not use the child seat on a seat where a front airbag is activated.
This is a child restraint system of category i-Size.
It is approved according to regulation No. 129 for use on vehicle seats that are designated by the vehicle manufacturer in the vehicle manual as suitable for i-Size restraint systems.
If in doubt, consult the manufacturer of the child restraint system or the retailer. It is suitable for babies and children from birth up to approx. 15 months (0-13 kg body weight).
• Correct installation is likely if the vehicle manufacturer states in the vehicle manual that the vehicle is suitable for a “universal” child restraint system for this age group.
• This child restraint system is classified under stricter conditions as “universal” than earlier models that do not carry this notice.
• In case of doubt, please contact the manufacturer or the seller of the child restraint system.
• The safety of the child seat is only guaranteed by the manufacturer if used by the original purchaser. For this reason, it is not recommended to buy a second-hand seat.
• The child car seat should not be used more than 5 years after purchase. The quality of the seat may be impaired without visible signs due to heavy use.
• Use the child seat only on forward-facing car seats.
• Foldable car seats must be securely locked.
• If the child seat is installed on the front passenger seat, the passenger seat must be pushed back as far as possible.
• The child seat must not be used on car seats with airbag protection. Deactivate airbag if necessary (consult your car dealer).
• The backrest of the passenger seat must be set to a fully upright position. An adjustable headrest must be pushed to the lowest position.
• The child seat must not be wedged in the car door or foldable seats; no heavy objects may lie on the child seat.
• Never hold your baby on your lap in the car. You cannot hold your baby safely against the immense forces released in an accident.
• Never place the car belt around yourself and the child.
• Do not make any modifications to the child seat or the belts.
• Ensure that the car safety belt is undamaged and fully functional.
• All belts used to secure the restraint system must be tightened. The belts holding the child must be fastened tightly. Ensure these belts are not twisted.
• Never leave your baby in the child seat for too long. Although the child seat offers optimal comfort, your child must regularly lie on their tummy to support healthy development.
• To avoid exposing your child to unnecessary heat, the baby seat should not be exposed to direct sunlight when not in use. Parts of the child seat could become hot and burn your child.
• Use the child seat also on short journeys.

• Never leave your child unattended in the child seat or car.
• Set a good example and always fasten your seatbelt.
• Teach your child never to play with the buckle.
• Take regular breaks on long journeys so that your child can recover from the strain of travel outside the vehicle.

• The child seat is tested and approved according to the European safety standard ECE R129. It is suitable for babies and children from birth up to approx. 15 months (0-13 kg body weight).
• The child seat can only guarantee safety if used correctly.
• The child seat can be secured with a three-point automatic belt both on the front passenger seat and on the rear seats, provided it complies with regulation ECE R16 or an equivalent standard.
We recommend placing the seat on the rear bench.

• A loosely fitted seat can injure vehicle occupants during emergency braking or an accident.

• Ensure the seat is not damaged by being caught in the vehicle door, rotating car seats, objects placed on the child seat (e.g., luggage) or similar.
• Do not make any modifications to your child seat. The safety of the seat could be compromised.
• After an accident (even at low impact speeds over 10 km/h), damage may have occurred to the child car seat that is not necessarily visible. In this case, the child car seat must be replaced. Please dispose of it properly.
• We recommend checking before purchasing the child seat whether it can be properly installed.
• Ensure that all luggage and objects that could injure occupants in the event of an accident or sudden braking are properly secured.
• Never place the child seat with the child in it on an elevated surface such as a table, work surface, bed or shopping trolley.

• The user manual should be stored in the designated storage compartment of the child seat.
• The child restraint system must not be used without the fabric cover.
• As the fabric covers are an essential part of the restraint system, they may only be replaced with covers recommended by the manufacturer.

• Consult your vehicle manual about the position of the Isofix anchor points and the correct installation of i-Size restraint systems.
