What’s new in the Salsa 5 Air for the 2025 collection?
The Salsa 5 Air now impresses with many new practical features. With the innovative Quick-Fold folding mechanism, you can now fold the carrycot even faster from the outside via sliders on the base and store it space-savingly. The sun canopy can also be easily adjusted thanks to the new memory function: you release the canopy mounts one after the other and adjust it effortlessly. The Salsa 5 Air now features a extra-large sun canopy with UPF 50+ fold-out sun visor that pulls down further than ever before – perfect for generous shade, e.g. at the beach, or as a practical sleeping cover. Thanks to the new innovative HappyBelt® 5-point harness system with magnetic closure in the sports seat, which can be continuously adjusted and offers padded shoulder straps for more comfort, getting in and out is also significantly easier. Additional comfort is provided by the new soft, breathable comfort seat liner, while the ventilation window made of fine mesh fabric integrated into the backrest ensures optimal air circulation and a pleasant seating climate. Cosy carrycot for newborns
The carrycot is equipped with the particularly high-quality, soft and ergonomic CozyCloud mattress and cradles your newborn very comfortably. An extra plus in comfort is the adjustable lying surface, which you can fold up at the rear of the carrycot. At the front, the new organiser is stowed. This offers space for your mobile phone, wallet, and much more. You can also remove the small bag and attach it to the pushbar.
The new CozyCloud mattress was specially developed for use in the carrycot for newborns. So you can be sure that your baby will have a healthy and restful sleep. The mattress ensures an excellent sleeping climate. It features breathable cold foam with vertical air channels. The adapted firmness provides optimal lying comfort from head to spine. The wedge-shaped head end supports the head slightly elevated, promoting a healthy sleeping position. All materials are allergy-friendly and undergo the strictest quality controls.
Your baby is protected by the matching carrycot cover and a large canopy. The canopy is equipped with UV protection 50+. For warm days, a ventilation window (made of particularly fine mesh) is integrated in the canopy and one at the head end of the carrycot. This ensures the carrycot is always pleasantly ventilated and prevents heat buildup.
If the stroller is too bulky for your next restaurant visit, simply remove the carrycot and carry it by hand using the sturdy carry handle. Especially comfortable and even safer is the practical memory function: you can unlock the mounts one after the other, so you always have one hand free to hold the carry handle. If you have little space for transport in the car, you can simply fold the carrycot.
Onwards with the sports seat
As soon as your child can sit, you attach the sports seat. This is quick and easy. Like the carrycot, the seat can be mounted in both directions. This way you have your little one in view and they can look at your familiar face. Curious explorers ride facing forward and explore the world. That makes them tired, so the backrest and footrest are adjustable in several positions. In a flat recline position, a well-deserved nap can be taken.
Safety is ensured by a padded 5-point harness and a bumper bar. The magnetic HappyBelt® 5-point harness system securely holds your child and grows with them. As your child grows, you simply adjust the harness continuously. Practical: for easy access, you can simply fold up or completely remove the bumper bar. The large canopy with fold-out sun visor protects against wind and weather. With UV protection 50+, it reliably protects your child’s sensitive skin. Thanks to the mesh fabric visibility and ventilation window, you can keep an eye on your child at all times.
The Salsa 5 Air also has some highlights for parents: the pushbar is height-adjustable, allowing mum and dad to enjoy strolls in a comfortable posture. The Salsa is also suitable for very tall parents as it offers plenty of legroom between the rear wheels. Even more convenience in everyday life is provided by the super spacious shopping basket. Here you can store bulky and heavy items, saving you strength and nerves.
Great driving comfort & small folded size
The Salsa 5 Air rides on large air-filled wheels. Thanks to the high-quality tyres, you can handle the stroller excellently on any surface. On particularly uneven terrain, you lock the front wheel so it doesn’t block and you can move forward quickly. In addition to the soft air tyres, the central suspension also cushions small and large bumps. After the outing, you fold the stroller quickly and easily. For an especially small folded size, you can also remove the wheels. This is super easy with the push of a button. This way you can fit the Salsa into virtually any boot.
Infant car seat Tulip included in the scope of delivery
This set includes the matching Tulip infant car seat (incl. adapter).
The Tulip infant car seat from ABC Design offers your little one optimal protection during car journeys. It also looks great on ABC Design strollers. The transfer from car to stroller frame is simple and quick. The car seat complies with the latest safety standard i-Size (R129) and weighs just 3.95 kg.

Optimal safety is ensured by side impact protection and the 3-point harness system. You can adjust the growing harness system and headrest to your child’s size. The integrated seat reducer offers optimal support at all times thanks to removable padding. The sun canopy with UV protection 50+ protects against sun exposure on hot days.
After the car journey, the infant car seat can be attached to all ABC Design strollers with just a few steps. The perfect travel system with very little effort. The adapter required for this is included in this set. The base of the infant car seat is slightly rounded. This allows your little one to gently and comfortably rock to sleep.
You attach the Tulip infant car seat quickly and easily with your car’s 3-point belt. Installation is done rear-facing as with all infant car seats.
If you often travel by car, the optional ISOFIX base for the Tulip infant car seat (available separately in our shop) is recommended. With this, you don’t have to buckle the infant car seat every time; you simply place it on the already installed ISOFIX base. This saves you a lot of time and effort. Additionally, it greatly helps to avoid errors during attachment. A practical colour indicator immediately shows you the correct installation.

Never use this carrycot on a stand

• Do not allow other children to play unattended near the carrycot.
• Do not use the carrycot if parts are broken, torn or missing.
• Do not leave the flexible carrying handles inside the carrycot.
• Use only approved accessories from your manufacturer.
• Keep this product away from fire and other sources of heat.
• Use only the mattress supplied and do not place an additional mattress in the carrycot.
• Regularly check the carrying straps and base for damage.
• If your carrycot has carrying loops attached, these must not be inside the stroller attachment during use.
• Ensure your child’s head is always positioned higher than the rest of the body.
Baby Car Seat
Do not use the child seat on a seat with an active front airbag.
This is a child restraint system of category i-Size.
It is approved under Regulation No. 129 for use on vehicle seats that are designated by the vehicle manufacturer in the vehicle handbook as suitable for i-Size restraint systems.
If in doubt, consult the child restraint system manufacturer or retailer. It is suitable for babies and children from birth up to approx. 15 months (0-13 kg body weight).
• Correct installation is likely if the vehicle manufacturer states in the vehicle handbook that the vehicle is suitable for a “universal” child restraint device for this age group.
• This child restraint system is classified under stricter conditions than “universal” compared to earlier models without this label.
• In case of doubt, please contact the manufacturer or seller of the child restraint system.
• The manufacturer guarantees the safety of the child seat only if used by the first purchaser. For this reason, it is not recommended to buy a second-hand seat.
• The child car seat should not be used more than 5 years after purchase. The quality of the seat may be imperceptibly impaired by heavy use.
• Use the child seat only on forward-facing car seats.
• Folding car seats must be securely locked.
• If the child seat is installed on the front passenger seat, the seat must be pushed as far back as possible.
• The child seat must not be used on car seats with airbag protection. Deactivate the airbag if necessary (ask your car dealer).
• The backrest of the front passenger seat must be in a fully upright position. An adjustable headrest must be pushed to the lowest position.
• The child seat must not be caught in the car door or folding seats; no heavy objects may lie on the child seat.
• Never hold your baby on your lap in the car. Against the immense forces released in an accident, you cannot hold your baby.
• Never place the car seat belt around yourself and the child.
• No modifications may be made to the child seat or its belts.
• Ensure the car safety belt is undamaged and fully functional.
• All belts intended to secure the restraint system must be tightened. The belts holding the child must be snug. Make sure these belts are not twisted.
• Never leave your baby in the child seat for too long. Although the child seat offers optimal comfort, your child must regularly lie on their tummy to support healthy development.
• To avoid exposing your child to unnecessary heat, do not expose the baby seat to direct sunlight when not in use. Parts of the child seat could become hot and burn your child.
• Use the child seat even on short trips.

• Set a good example and always wear your seatbelt.
• Teach your child never to play with the buckle.
• Take regular breaks on longer journeys so your child can recover from the strain of travel outside the vehicle.
• To ensure your child’s safety, please read these instructions carefully and follow the assembly instructions precisely.
• The child seat is tested and approved according to the European safety standard ECE R129. It is suitable for babies and children from birth up to approx. 15 months (0-13 kg body weight).
• The child seat can only guarantee safety if used correctly.
• The child seat can be secured with a three-point automatic belt both on the front passenger seat and on the rear seats, provided it complies with Regulation ECE R16 or an equivalent standard.
We recommend placing the seat on the rear bench.
• The baby seat must not be secured with the pelvic belt alone.
• In the car, the child seat must always be secured with the car belts, even if no child is in it.
• A loosely installed seat can injure car occupants during emergency braking or an accident.
• Children are very active and should always remain strapped in the baby seat, even outside the car.
• Ensure the seat is not damaged by being caught in the car door, rotating car seats, objects placed on the child seat (e.g. luggage) or similar.
• Do not make any changes to your child seat. The safety of the seat could be compromised.
• After an accident (even at low impact speeds over 10 km/h), damage may have occurred to the child car seat that is not necessarily visible. In this case, the child car seat must be replaced. Please dispose of it properly.
• We recommend checking before purchasing the child seat whether it can be properly installed.
• Ensure all luggage and objects that could injure occupants in the event of an accident or heavy braking are properly secured.
• Never place the child seat with the child in it on an elevated surface such as a table, work surface, bed or shopping trolley.

• The instruction manual should be kept in the designated storage compartment of the child seat.
• The child restraint system must not be used without the fabric cover.
• As the fabric covers are an essential part of the restraint system, they may only be replaced with covers recommended by the manufacturer.

• Refer to your vehicle handbook for the position of the Isofix anchors and the correct installation of i-Size restraint systems.
