What’s new in the Salsa 5 Air for the 2025 collection?
The Salsa 5 Air now impresses with many new, practical features. With the innovative Quick-Fold folding mechanism, you can now fold the carrycot even faster from the outside via sliders on the base and store it space-savingly. The sun canopy can also be easily adjusted thanks to the new memory function: you release the canopy holders one after the other and adjust it effortlessly. The Salsa 5 Air now features a extra-large sun canopy with UPF 50+ and extendable sun visor that can be pulled down further than ever before – perfect for generous shade, e.g. at the beach, or as a practical sleeping cover. Thanks to the new innovative HappyBelt® 5-point harness system with magnetic closure in the sports seat, which can be continuously adjusted and offers padded shoulder straps for more comfort, getting in and out is much easier. Additional comfort is provided by the new soft, breathable comfort seat insert, while the ventilation window made of fine mesh fabric integrated into the backrest ensures optimal air circulation and a pleasant seating climate. Cozy carrycot for newborns
The carrycot is equipped with the particularly high-quality, soft and ergonomic CozyCloud mattress and cradles your newborn very comfortably. An extra plus in comfort is the adjustable lying surface, which you can fold up at the rear area of the carrycot. In the front area, the new organiser is stored. It offers space for your mobile phone, wallet and much more. You can also remove the small bag and attach it to the handlebar.
The new CozyCloud mattress was specially developed for use in the carrycot for newborns. This way, you can be sure that your baby finds a healthy and restful sleep. The mattress ensures an excellent sleeping climate. It features breathable cold foam with vertical air channels. The adapted firmness provides optimal lying comfort from head to spine. The wedge-shaped head end supports the head slightly elevated, promoting a healthy sleeping position. All materials are allergy-friendly and undergo the strictest quality controls.
Your baby is protected by the matching carrycot cover and a large canopy. The canopy is equipped with UV protection 50+. For warm days, a ventilation window (made of particularly fine mesh) is integrated both in the canopy and at the head end of the carrycot. This ensures the carrycot is always pleasantly ventilated and prevents heat build-up.
If the stroller is too bulky for your next restaurant visit, simply remove the carrycot and carry it by hand using the sturdy carrying handle. The practical memory function makes this especially comfortable and safer: you can unlock the holders one after the other, so you always have one hand free to hold the carrying handle. If you have little space for transport in the car, you can simply fold the carrycot.
Onwards with the sports seat
As soon as your child can sit, you attach the sports seat unit. This is quick and easy. Like the carrycot, the seat can be mounted in both directions. This way, you have your little one in view and they can look at your familiar face. Curious explorers ride facing forward and discover the world. This makes them tired, so the backrest and footrest are adjustable in multiple positions. In a flat recline position, a well-deserved nap can be taken.
Safety is ensured by a padded 5-point harness and a safety bar. The magnetic HappyBelt® 5-point harness system securely holds your child and grows with them. As your child grows, you simply adjust the harness continuously. Practical: for easy entry, you can simply fold up or completely remove the bar. The large canopy with extendable sun visor protects against wind and weather. With UV protection 50+, it reliably shields your child’s sensitive skin. Thanks to the mesh fabric viewing and ventilation window, you can always keep an eye on your child.
The Salsa 5 Air also has some highlights for parents: the handlebar is height-adjustable, allowing mum and dad to stroll in a comfortable posture. The Salsa is also suitable for very tall parents, as it offers enormous legroom between the rear wheels. Even more convenience in everyday life is provided by the super spacious shopping basket. Here you can store bulky and heavy items, saving you strength and nerves.
Great driving comfort & small folded size
The Salsa 5 Air rides on large air-filled tyres. Thanks to the high-quality tyres, you can easily manage with the stroller on any surface. On particularly uneven terrain, you lock the front wheel so it does not block and you can move forward quickly. In addition to the soft air tyres, the central suspension also cushions small and large bumps. After the trip, you fold the stroller quickly and easily. For an especially small folded size, you can also remove the wheels. This is super easy with the push of a button. This way, you can fit the Salsa into virtually any boot.
Tulip infant car seat already included
This set includes the matching Tulip infant car seat (incl. adapter).
The Tulip infant car seat from ABC Design offers your little one optimal protection during car journeys. It also looks great on ABC Design strollers. The switch from car to stroller frame is quick and easy. The car seat complies with the latest safety standard i-Size (R129) and weighs just 3.95 kg.

Optimal safety is ensured by side impact protection and the 3-point harness system. The growing harness system and headrest can be adjusted to your child’s size. The integrated seat reducer provides optimal support at all times thanks to removable padding. The sun canopy with UV protection 50+ protects against sun exposure on hot days.
After the car journey, the infant car seat can be attached to all ABC Design strollers with just a few steps. The perfect travel system with very little effort. The necessary adapter is included in this set. The base of the infant car seat is slightly rounded. This allows your little one to gently and comfortably rock to sleep.
You attach the Tulip infant car seat quickly and easily with your car’s 3-point belt. Installation is done, as with all infant car seats, rear-facing.
If you often travel by car, we recommend purchasing the optional ISOFIX base for the Tulip infant car seat (available separately in our shop). With this, you do not have to buckle the infant car seat each time; you simply place it on the already installed ISOFIX base. This saves you a lot of time and effort. Additionally, it greatly helps to avoid errors in attachment. A practical colour indicator immediately shows you correct installation.

• Use only the mattress supplied and do not use any additional mattress in the carrycot.
• Regularly check the carry straps and base for damage.
• If your carrycot has carrying loops attached, they must not be inside the stroller attachment during use.
• Ensure that your child’s head is always positioned higher than the rest of the body.
Baby Car Seat
Do not use the child seat on a seat with an active front airbag.
This is a child restraint system of category i-Size.
It is approved according to regulation no. 129 for use on vehicle seats that are suitable for i-Size restraint systems as indicated by the vehicle manufacturer in the vehicle handbook.
If in doubt, consult the manufacturer of the child restraint system or the retailer. It is suitable for babies and children from birth up to approximately 15 months (0-13 kg body weight).
• Correct installation is likely if the vehicle manufacturer states in the vehicle handbook that the vehicle is suitable for a “universal” child restraint device of this age group.
• This child restraint system is classified under stricter conditions as “universal” than earlier models that do not carry this indication.
• In case of doubt, please contact the manufacturer or seller of the child restraint system.
• The safety of the child seat is only guaranteed by the manufacturer if used by the first purchaser. For this reason, it is not recommended to buy a second-hand seat.
• The child car seat should not be used more than 5 years after purchase. The quality of the seat may be imperceptibly impaired by heavy use.
• Use the child seat only on forward-facing car seats.
• Folding car seats must be firmly locked.
• If the child seat is installed on the front passenger seat, the seat must be pushed as far back as possible.
• The child seat must not be used on car seats with airbag protection. If necessary, deactivate the airbag (ask your car dealer).
• The backrest of the front passenger seat must be in a fully upright position. An adjustable headrest must be moved to the lowest position.
• The child seat must not be caught in the car door or in folding seats; no heavy objects should lie on the child seat.
• Never hold your baby on your lap in the car. You cannot hold your baby against the immense forces released in an accident.
• Never place the car belt around yourself and the child.
• No modifications may be made to the child seat or the belts.
• Ensure that the car safety belt is not damaged and fully functional.
• All belts intended for securing the restraint system must be tightened. The belts holding the child must be fitted tightly. Make sure these belts are not twisted.
• Never leave your baby in the child seat for too long. Although the child seat offers optimal comfort, your child must regularly lie on their tummy. This supports healthy development.
• To avoid unnecessary heat stress, the baby seat should not be exposed to direct sunlight when not in use. Parts of the child seat may become hot and burn your child.
• Use the child seat even for short trips.

• Set a good example and always fasten your seatbelt.
• Teach your child never to play with the buckle.
• Take regular breaks on longer journeys so your child can recover from the strain of travel outside the vehicle.

• The child seat is tested and approved according to the European safety standard ECE R129. It is suitable for babies and children from birth up to approximately 15 months (0-13 kg body weight).
• The child seat can only guarantee safety if used correctly.
• The child seat can be secured with a three-point automatic belt both on the front passenger seat and on the rear seats, provided it complies with regulation ECE R16 or an equivalent standard.
We recommend placing the seat on the rear bench.

• After an accident (even at low impact speeds above 10 km/h) damage may have occurred to the car child seat that is not necessarily obvious. In this case, the car child seat must be replaced. Please dispose of it properly.
• We recommend checking before purchasing the child seat whether it can be properly installed.
• Ensure that all luggage and items that could injure occupants in the event of an accident or sudden braking are properly secured.
• Never place the child seat with the child inside on an elevated surface such as a table, worktop, bed or shopping trolley.

• The child restraint system must not be used without the fabric cover.
• As the fabric covers are an essential part of the restraint system, they may only be replaced with covers recommended by the manufacturer.

• Consult your vehicle handbook for the position of the Isofix anchors and the correct installation of i-Size restraint systems.
